Define your donation payment type
In Eden Admin, each church configures its own payment types (for example Donation, Building fund). Online PayPal payments are recorded under the type you choose when sending the link — keeping your member database and finance reports consistent.
Send a personal pay link
Use Send SMS or Send Email with the {paymentPayLink} placeholder. Select
members from your parish records, pick the donation payment type, and each recipient
gets a unique URL. Members enter the amount (minimum $1) on a simple pay page.
Automatic recording
When payment completes, Eden Admin saves a payment row with method PayPal, sends a confirmation SMS with receipt number, and ties the transaction to the member record. Staff no longer need to manually match PayPal notifications to names.
Membership vs donation links
Membership uses {membershipPayLink} with a fixed fee and extends expiry
12 months. Donation and other types use open amounts. Both flow to
your church's PayPal, not Eden Admin.
Reconcile with cash and EFTPOS
Online giving is one channel. Cash, cheque, and EFTPOS payments are still entered in the CMS so your parish records show the full picture for treasurers and auditors.
